Meet The Core Team

BMH Village is a Black founded and operated grassroots Black Mental health think tank & community action organization that aims to make mental health education and care more accessible to Black people. We are working to create an online community centered around Black mental health. This is because we need to break the stigma surrounding mental health in the Black community. We want to encourage our people to seek help from one another and from trained professionals who look like them. We also unite people with mission-driven organizations and resources to promote the health and wellness of Black people, especially Black Nashvillians, by addressing the social determinants of health that produce the disproportionate health disparities and mental health issues that are present in the Black community.
