A fiscal sponsorship is a powerful partnership where a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (like Back Mental Health Village) agrees to provide financial and administrative oversight to a mission-aligned Program (like yours!). This allows your initiative to seek grants and receive tax-deductible donations without having to obtain its own 501(c)(3) status.

Our Fiscal Sponsorship program is designed for emerging leaders, grassroots organizers, and passionate advocates who are:

• Launching a new mental health program, support group, or community event.

• Developing a creative Program (film, art, podcast) that destigmatizes mental health.

• Conducting research or educational initiatives aligned with our mission.

• In the process of applying for 501(c)(3) status but need to start operating and fundraising now.

We seek partners whose work aligns with our core mission to foster community, provide accessible resources, and promote holistic mental wellness for all. Learn more about our values.

• Legitimacy & Trust: Donors can make tax-deductible contributions to your Program through our established 501(c)(3) status.

• Grant Eligibility: Apply for grants reserved for organizations with non-profit status.

• Administrative Support: We manage fiduciary oversight, financial reporting, and receipting of donations.

• Mission-Aligned Community: Join a village of like-minded change-makers.

We are no longer able to offer fiscal sponsorship to non‑members; fiscal sponsorship is now only available to current members of Black Mental Health Village.

1. Inquiry & Initial Screening: Fill out our brief inquiry form below. We'll review it to ensure there's a strong mission alignment.

2. Formal Application: If we're a potential fit, we'll invite you to complete a detailed application outlining your Program's goals, budget, and impact.

3. Collaborative Review: Our team will schedule a video call with you to discuss your vision, answer questions, and explore the partnership dynamics.

4. MOU Execution: Upon approval, we will co-draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that clearly outlines roles, responsibilities, and fees.

5. Onboarding & Launch: We'll integrate you into our systems, set up your dedicated fund, and help you announce your new fundraising capability to the world!
