About the Event
Founded by BMMA, Black Maternal Health Week is a week of awareness, activism, and community-building aimed at amplifying the voices of Black Mamas, bringing visibility to Black-led maternal health initiatives, and centering the values and traditions of the reproductive and birth justice movements.
Together our organizations, WhatTheDoula and Mid-South BIPOC Birthworkers are creating the space for momME time on April 12th so we can bring visibility to the groups and experts passionate about maternal health and specifically black maternal health and wellness.
Whether you're a first-time mom, a mom of many, or simply looking for a morning of community and connection, this event is for you!This year's theme is Rooted in Justice & Joy
